The GPA/IPO AGM came to order 6:00 PM November 8, 2019

Old business:
Russia was confirmed for the 2020 GPA/IPO World Championships.
1. Argentina was voted for the 2021 GPA/IPO World Championships. Argentina made the special request as 2021 will be the 10th anniversary of the first GPA World Championships in Argentina.
2. At the request of Qunling Koay of Malaysia Knee sleeves were discussed. Knee sleeves of single ply, not to exceed 9mm thick, and not to exceed 30 cm in length were approved by unanimous vote.
3. Leonardo Cavaglia proposed changing the lengths of knee wraps in different categories. The following was approved by unanimous vote:
- Knee wraps single ply 2.5 meters in length for men 52kg – 100kg.
- Knee wraps single ply 3 meters in length for men 110kg – 140+kg This group may also use single ply 2.5 meters.
- Knee wraps single ply 2.5 meters in length for women 44kg – 90kg
- Knee wraps single ply 3 meters in length for women 100kg – 100+kg This group may also use single ply 2.5 meters.
4. Mauro Spinardi proposed the formation of a jury to arbitrate difficult objections of decisions of the judges. The vote was unanimous for a jury. The implementation and procedure for the jury is under study and will be continued at a later date.

This rule already exists in one form. The English version of the existing rule:
- All appeals against referee’s decisions or conduct, complaints regarding the progress of the competition or against the behavior of any person or persons taking part in the competition will be made to the appointed GPA Contest Officials. This must be done immediately following action of which there is a complaint or appeal. The appeal must be backed by the team manager and/or coach and presented in the presence of either or both.
- The appointed GPA Contest Officials will consider all such complaints. If deemed necessary, the appointed GPA Contest Officials may temporarily suspend the progress of the completion to consider the situation fully. After due consideration the complainant will be informed of any decision and any appropriate measures that may be taken. The verdict of the appointed GPA Contest Officials will be considered final and there will be no right or appeal to any other body.
